Clikka Mouse Free

Activate mouse commands with the cursor with Clikka Mouse Free
Click mouse buttons by pausing the cursor with this assisted-access freeware.

Windows offers numerous accessibility options in the Control Panel under Ease of Access, including the ability to activate windows by hovering the mouse over them and to control the mouse with your keyboard. But there's considerable room for improvement, such as the mouse control options offered by Clikka Mouse Free.
This simple tool places a series of icons controlling mouse buttons in a tiny interface that stays out of sight on the left side of your screen until you mouse over to it. All you have to do is hold the cursor over a button to activate the corresponding mouse command. It can help individuals who depend on assisted access devices improve and expand their control options.
When installing Clikka Mouse Free, we specified English for the interface language. But when we clicked the Settings icon on Clikka's small panel, the settings sheet was in Portuguese. We clicked the button labeled Idioma and specified English from a list of language files. Clikka's controls start at the top with an Exit button and continue through six icons clearly illustrating each mouse command: right-click, center-click, double-click, and so on. One especially helpful feature performs a left-click, beeps, and then lets the user scroll by moving the mouse. When the cursor stops, another beep marks the end of scrolling. The aforementioned Options button let us adjust the program's Tolerance, which is its sensitivity to mouse movements, and Wait, the length of time Clikka waits before clicking when the mouse stops. We could also access our mouse's properties in Explorer, enable Clikka to start with Windows, add languages, and make other changes. A Web-based Help file explains each feature.
Clikka Mouse Free works very well indeed. We simply had to hold the cursor over a mouse button and then move the cursor and hold it over the target command, like a browser button or desktop shortcut. With Clikka, users who can move and pause the cursor have full access to their systems. We recommend Clikka Mouse Free to any who can make use of it, and we commend its developers for making it freely available.

Clikka Mouse Free description
A freeware designed for people suffering from disabilities and thus unable to perform mouse clicks.
This handy application allows physically disabled people to control the functions of the mouse. This can be done both in Windows and in any other program which requires the use of a mouse device: left or right click, double click, scrolling, ecc.
Clikka Mouse Free should be used together with other mouse emulator programs such as head or eyes pointers or any other processing system designed for people with disabilities.
Clikka Mouse Free (with its bars hidden on the left side of the screen allowing the whole view of your desktop) “silently” provides us the possibility to click whenever we want to, just leaving the cursor rested over a given button on the screen, allowing us to rest too, putting all the functions in stand-by.
The program, once started, will display a bar, hidden on the left side of the screen; the bar will show some buttons which can be enabled or disabled simply resting with the cursor over the selected one for a certain amount of time.

The technological advancement of recent
times has let disabled people perform normal functions, and lead a
pretty regular life. These days, disabled people are climbing mountains
and running in Olympic races with the help of different gizmos. Devices
that help them perform tasks normally come under the name of assistive
technology, or accessibility options in case of Windows. Clikka Mouse
is one such application that allows disabled users, in particular,
people who can’t use or don’t have fingers, to use their computer in a
normal way. The application is used to emulate mouse-click
actions at the position of the cursor, without actually pressing the
buttons. Read more about Clikka Mouse after the jump.

Clikka Mouse, Mouse Software For People With Disability
People with disability may have difficulties working on a computer. Sometimes it may not be possible to use a mouse or the computer keyboard. When that’s the case, special software for people with disability comes to the rescue. These programs often emulate mouse and keyboard, for instance with head movement or eye pointer software.
A free program in this regard, best used in combination with the above, is Clikka Mouse. The program can be used to emulate mouse actions at the position of the mouse cursor. Supported by the mouse emulation software are several actions, from left-, double-, right- and middle-clicking to dragging and dropping the target to a new location.
The program needs to be installed before it can be used. It places a small bar at the left side of the screen that hides automatically when it is not selected by the user (this is done by moving the mouse pointer on the bar area).
A click on one of the emulated actions makes it the active action so that it becomes possible to use mouse actions without using the mouse at all.
The program interprets the user’s movement and will initiate the action when the movement stops. Lets take the left-click action as an example. A left-click is simulated after selection whenever you stop moving the mouse on the screen. A tolerance value in the program’s settings determines the click target.

You basically move the mouse and the program does the clicking for you. The same principle applies to all other mouse actions the program offers.
Clikka Mouse could use shortcuts to make the selection process easier, especially for users who switch between actions regularly (and if it is only between left-click and no mouse action).
